Product Care

Our Material

We are proud to create all of our pieces with Sterling Silver, topped with a thick layer of 1 - 2 microns of 18k Gold, which makes them very long lasting and durable.

The gold plating that we use is 10 to 60 times thicker than the standard gold plated jewelry on the market, so you can rest assured that they are here to stay!

However, even a thick gold plated jewelry is fragile and needs love and care.

The plating can fade depending on multiple variables from chemical products used for skincare, level of perspiration, exposure to water, or even your natural skin PH.

Therefore, we recommend that you take a few simple steps to avoid any fading or damage to the plating layer.

How to Care

  • Avoid prolonged contact with water.

  • Remove jewelry before washing hands, swimming or participating in physical activity.

  • If your pieces come into contact with water, take them off and dry carefully with a tissue paper or a microfiber cleaning cloth.

  • Remove jewelry before applying skin/hair products (e.g. perfume, hairspray, sunscreen, soap, shampoo, or lotion), as these chemicals could react to the silver core and reduce the life of the gold plating, or cause discoloration and loss of enamel brilliance.

How to Store

  • Store your jewelry in a soft pouch to avoid scratches.

  • Store your jewelry away from direct sunlight and heat.

  • Do not store your jewelry in the bathroom or any other humid places.

Cleaning Your Jewelry

Gold plated Sterling silver can tarnish over time when exposed to the open air.

Tarnishing is a natural process that can easily be cleaned.

To clean a tarnished piece, pour a small amount of mild soap into lukewarm water and use a microfiber cleaning cloth to gently rub the tarnish away.
